Get A Great Workout At The Brookdale Racquet Club

Playing tennis at the Brookdale Racquet Club.

Looking for a fun workout without traveling too far? If so, you’ll want to head over to the Brookdale Racquet Club, just around the corner from Brookdale on the Park.

You’ll find plenty of enjoyable activities there. If you’re new in town, be sure to sign up first. Joining the club is a great way to become acquainted with your neighbors. Plus, the club also offers steep discounts for new members.

Swimming

The club offers two pool options for both new and experienced swimmers. Its largest pool spans 25 yards, with six lanes reserved for laps and separate areas designated for wading and diving. In addition, the club has a smaller, fenced in wading pool for young swimmers under five years of age.

Pool activities include instructor-led swimming lessons, home swimming meets, an end of season awards banquet for competitive swimmers, and an annual stroke clinic for advanced swimmers.

Not looking to get wet, but just want to top off that summer tan? With over 80 lounge deck chairs, there are ample opportunities to soak up the sun. Afterward, you can head to the clubhouse and wash off in one of the club’s private showers.

Food Options And Other Outdoor Activities

If swimming’s not your idea of fun, head over to the play area on the other side of the pavilion and start a game of ping pong. You could also get some friendly competition going at one of the sand volleyball courts.

Getting hungry after all that running around? If so, the club has you covered. With two gas grills and a charcoal grill, you’re well stocked to get your own outdoor barbecue going. Or, if you’d rather someone else do the cooking, head indoors to the clubhouse to purchase drinks, ice cream, soft pretzels, and other concession stand favorites!

Tennis

In addition to its smaller pickleball courts, the club also features four full-sized courts for tennis games. Also, all four have been newly painted for the summer.

If you haven’t played the game before, join the BRC tennis program, where you can brush up on your skills. Lessons for high schoolers and adults are available. You can participate in beginner, advanced beginner, and intermediate classes. There are evening drills, a cardio tennis course, and even a ladies traveling team. The sky’s the limit where tennis is concerned at the Brookdale Racquet Club!
