Visit Pottawatomie Park

Nestled along the Fox River is the scenic Pottawatomie Park where visitors can enjoy an array of fun activities:

The Pottawatomie Golf Course is the most beautiful course in the Fox Valley, and it was designed in 1939 by famed architect Robert Trent Jones Sr. It features his first island green design on the third hole and is the only nine-hole regulation public golf course in the tri-city area. Suitable for all skill levels, the course also consists of tree-lined wide fairways, bunkers, and rolling hills.

Miniature Golf

For those who just want to putt, the River View Miniature Golf Course offers plenty of fun for everyone. Spanning eighteen holes, this award-winning course is complete with naturally landscaped greens and obstacles that add numerous challenges along the way.

The pools at Swanson Pool are heated between 80 and 82 degrees. Visitors can enjoy swimming laps, jumping off springy diving boards, and trips down water slides.

Paddlewheel Riverboat Rides

Board the Fox River Queen or the St. Charles Belle paddlewheel riverboats for a scenic sightseeing tour along the Fox River. It’s bordered by a forest preserve that has changed little since the area was inhabited by the Pottawatomie Tribe, and during the fifty-minute trip, the captain provides commentary and points out sights that have an interesting history.

Visitors can also enjoy canoeing, fishing, and pedal boat rides.

This is just one of the many parks that you can explore if you call Brookdale on the Park Apartments home. Please contact us to schedule a tour where you can see our community firsthand.
